With its discrete and a little retro façade mirrored in the Maggiore canal, two steps away from the Clock tower in the heart of the historical centre of Comacchio, Hotel La Comacina is easy to identify.
Everything came from a picture. The idea and from the idea a project. Or it would be better to say a dream: the dream of bringing this corner of the old Comacchio back to its dignity, to the fascinating times when the canal was full of boats. the “comacine”, that carried salt from the Palazzo delle Saline situated on the front along the routes of trade.
What's the weather like ?
Comacchio, capital city of the Park of the Po delta, is surely one of the most impressive and typical lagoon towns in Italy.
Set up in the late Roman times on thirteen small islands, it has remained isolated for several centuries. Most of these islands have been reclaimed in successive stages.
The town was sought after by the Church, by the sires of the time, by the neighboring powers, first of all by Venice because of the production and trade of salt..
History, archeology, environment, gastronomy combine in a global point of interest for thousands of people who choose Comacchio as a destination for their excursions.
